"It’s one thing to make a picture of what a person looks like, it’s another thing to make a portrait of who they are."  Paul Caponigro

I am sharing a personal record of one of my photo projects from last week.  A friend of mine, involved with the charity Key4Life, asked if I would be interested in taking some pictures for them at a workshop in rural Somerset.  And, with it being half term, and already having arranged two lots of babysitting to fit in assignments I was feeling like an irresponsible mother and almost said no.  I am so grateful that the silent nagging in my head got the better of me.

I met four young men picking themselves up with the help of Key4Life, using music to empower themselves and give them new direction.  I took lots of pictures for them and tried to capture portraits that said something about who they were.  We had some fun and my little boy had a blast - he got to make music, ride horses and play table tennis and footie with PROs.  Thank you for a great time with some very special people. xx

"We stumble. Some get back up. Some need help to get there.  Key4Life helps you up.  Cool."  Bob Geldof.
