This morning I popped over to meet Georgie Newbery at Common Farm Flowers near Wincanton. It was my first visit, a quick recce really for a project I'm working on, and I found it hard to tear myself away! Georgie grows beautiful cottage garden flowers in the fields around the farmhouse for bouquets by post and wedding flowers. Sharon was out in the field cutting the sweat peas for a clean flush of blooms for this week's wedding - lucky bride. But it wasn't just the prettiness of the flower fields that appealed to me - this location has lots of interest, colours, textures and inside, I was green-eyed for the collection of vintage creamware and glass centrepieces. Thankfully I'll be back there again soon. In the meanwhile enjoy these pics and follow Georgie's blog for more goings on at Common Farm... http://www.commonfarmflowers.com/blog.php
I was inspired by the pics Georgie has been taking of arrangements on this dressser - they look like the work of a Dutch Master!
